French cameo vase from the Paris luxury shop of Jules Mabut. According to the book by Victor Arwas, “Art Nouveau to Art Deco”, just a small quantity of cameo glass was ever actually produced by Mabut’s shop – instead, he sold glass he acquired from other manufacturers.

Though limited in production, Mabut ‘s cameo glass which was designed by Henri Alphonse-Louis Laurent-Desrousseaux is considered by critics to be technically excellent.

Approximately 7” tall. Signed on the bottom, “Verrerie de la Paix” “34 Av = de l’opera Paris” along with a floral branch motif. Signed in cameo at foot, “Mabut”
