Amazing Detail! Fritz Heckert Enameled Champaign Wine Goblet Circa l885

This intricately enameled goblet by the important Bohemian firm of Fritz Heckert provides an excellent example of the highly ornamental reproductions of ancient glassware produced by the firm.

The color-rich Byzantine and Islamic inspired transparent enameled panels are outlined with gold engraved tracery. This stain-glass effect was a dominant enameling technique of the Heckert decorators.

Excellent condition. Colors are rich and vibrant. No chips, cracks or repairs. Signed in typical Fritz Heckert form – “F.H.” plus an indistinct decorator number.

Stands approximately 4-5/8” tall.
