Superb Handmade Ashtray with profusion of impressive scrolled ornaments. This Beautiful Ashtray represents the characteristic intricate Arabic craftmanship and culture.

We believe it to be from the first quarter of the 20th century.

840/1000 isn't technically 'sterling' but is the standard for most functional Arabic Silver pieces . The patterns are made with pen and hammer. The body is beautifully decorated with embossed scrolling floral and foliage ornaments.

A very interesting and heavy piece. Highly sought after by collectors.
