Another pick from my personal collection. I love the contrast between this small black plastic cameo and the radiant gold setting around it. Far from being overwhelming, this tends to focus the eye right in the center of the piece, right on the cameo itself. Pin measures 1 7/8ths inches across. Condition is very good. Three Piece German Jasper Ware Moriage Type Tea Set White on Green. Teapot, Creamer, Sugar. Teapot is marked 1641, creamer or milk jug 1642, and sugar bowl 1643 - probably mold or shape numbers. No other markings. Sugar has a 1/2" glazed over clay artifact (lump) in bottom. Also some staining to the sugar bowl as shown in photo - unsure how permanent this is, but the other side looks fine. This pin is a bit of a puzzle to me. It's marked B&W on an applied circular disk on the back, but also bears a mark (A 1927) that makes me think the design may have originally belonged to another company. We've debated over whether he's one of Santa's helpers, a very colorful leprechaun, one of Snow White's dwarves, or a garden gnome. Whatever he is, he's a charmer, dressed in a rainbow of enamel colors and sporting a sparkling rhinestone beard. Approximately 2 inches tall. Excellent condition.

So dapper in his little black enamel bow tie and pave crystal or rhinestone belly! And such pretty blue eyes! Has some minor pitting damage to the finish on the back, but is otherwise clean and shows few signs of wear. (Photograph seems to accent some light surface scratching and makes it look much worse than it does "in person.") Safety catch on pin is strong and secure. Measures approx. 2 1/2 inches tall. Does not have formed foam packing (I don't think this cottage came with it, but came wrapped in bubble wrap instead.) Box has been taped closed and has a crease along one side of the top flap but is in otherwise excellent condition. Graphics on box are clean and bright - shows almost no shelf wear. Approx. 3.63in. x 3.25in. x 5.5in.

We think this is soapstone, but are not absolutely certain, so if anyone has any thoughts on that, we'd love to hear them. Stone has a slightly greenish hue. The pin back is also of a type I've never seen before. I'm tempted to say this may be from some northwestern native American maker, but there are no marks of any kind that I can find. Approx. 2 1/2 inches x 3/4 inch at the widest point. Definitely a conversation starter!

I bought this quite a few years ago as a cup and saucer, but have since come to believe that it may actually be a sugar bowl and saucer. I think it would look very pretty filled with berries on a breakfast tray. It's very pretty, whatever it is, and a lovely example of English art deco tea wares. No gilt, but trimmed in a lovely robins egg blue instead, and decorated with lovely sunny yellow and dove gray flowers. Marked with the Paragon by Appointment royal crest. and the words Made in England.
