Three Piece German Jasper Ware Moriage Type Tea Set White on Green. Teapot, Creamer, Sugar. Teapot is marked 1641, creamer or milk jug 1642, and sugar bowl 1643 - probably mold or shape numbers. No other markings. Sugar has a 1/2" glazed over clay artifact (lump) in bottom. Also some staining to the sugar bowl as shown in photo - unsure how permanent this is, but the other side looks fine. Small deformity and glaze "miss" on rim of sugar bowl (looks like a chip in the photo, but is not.)Teapot ...

This pin is a bit of a puzzle to me. It's marked B&W on an applied circular disk on the back, but also bears a mark (A 1927) that makes me think the design may have originally belonged to another company. We've debated over whether he's one of Santa's helpers, a very colorful leprechaun, one of Snow White's dwarves, or a garden gnome. Whatever he is, he's a charmer, dressed in a rainbow of enamel colors and sporting a sparkling rhinestone beard. Approximately 2 inches tall. Excellent condition.

So dapper in his little black enamel bow tie and pave crystal or rhinestone belly! And such pretty blue eyes! Has some minor pitting damage to the finish on the back, but is otherwise clean and shows few signs of wear. Unusual damascene pin is accented with three faux (?) pearls down the center. No marks to indicate place of origin, but these are usually either from Spain or Japan (yes, really). I'm really guessing at the age on this one, but I think I'm pretty close. Open back frame appears to be gold plated or filled. Safety catch may have been a later addition, but was done cleanly and professionally (no solder globs!) Pin stem extends slightly beyond edge of piece, but not as far as most Victorian items that I've had. Ok, I have to admit that there's a lot I don't know about this brooch, but I love it anyway.
