SALE Gigantic 14 3/4" Kralik Green Iridescent Art Glass Vase

We are pleased to offer this absolutely gorgeous Kralik vase, measuring a gargantuan 14 3/4 inches tall. This vase has a few small flake-type chips at the rim,on the top and along the outside, the largest being less than 1/4 of an inch in length, along with 2-3 fleabites to the raised decoration.

The color is stunning, with glorious iridescence throughout. Although green is a common color for these vases, the size alone makes it stand out among other Bohemian vases.

The fire polished rim and lack of a pontil are signs that the vase is still in its original form, but one side is a bit lower than the other, by our measurements-less than 1/4 of an inch.

Our friendly Bohemian art glass mentor (thanks, Warren!) tells us this was probably mold blown, with the mold lines being polished away. Bet that was a honker of a mold!

The design is alternating plain panels and a raised alligator-skin design, very striking and we have not been able to locate another similar yet. This awesome piece of antique glass will need its own display area, that is for certain! It dwarfs the other pieces in our cabinet.
