Wonderful Christmas gift ideas abound; we are always open to negotiation!
It has issues; it has lived a full rockabilly life! First off is a couple of cigarette burns on the right side front, the largest being 1/4" round. There's a light spot on top by the handle, about 3/4" around. Then, there are small chips along the edges of the top and sides, both front and back. There are two missing small round stones on the guitar; there are two missing teardrop- shaped plastic stones on the flowers. Two of the tiny flowers have petals missing.
The leather clasp is worn. The handle is a replacement; it is in good condition but there are scratches on the metal hook-eye where it attaches to the box. The handle hardware has some discoloration. On the inside, there are a couple of light ink marks. The mirror is good.
The back side has scratches and dings to the corners.
The good news is, the box is structurally sound, closes and the edges fit correctly, with no water warping or major gouges. This motif seems to be a hard-to-find one, since we can't find a box purse in t pattern, by searching the Internet we find a picture of a bucket purse in this pattern but no information with the photo.
So, if you have the ability to lightly refinish the outside and replace a few missing and broken bits, you will have an Enid Collins box purse that probably no one else has ever seen!
