We are very pleased to offer this fantastic find: a marked W.R. Midwinter of Burslem vanity or dresser set in Porcelon. Featuring beautiful fruits including plums and damsons, the tray measures 12" by 8 5/8" . The single candlestick is 5 7/8*" tall by 3 1/2" on the base; the hatpin holder measures 5 1/4" by 3" at the base. The hair receiver is 2 3/4" by 3 3/4", with the same measurements for the powder box. The trinket boxes are 2 1/4" by 3".

One trinket box has a chip to the base, and a cracked lid; the other trinket box has tiny chip on the lid. The hair receiver has some roughness on the lip of the lid. There is overall crazing on all the pieces. There are scratches in the blue color and wear on high points of the tray, as well as some scratches on the surface. There are random spots of missing pigment on all pieces; see close-up of the lid to get an idea of what we mean. With the tray marks dating to 1932-1941, we consider the condition to be above average, given the daily use of a set such as this.

The colors are extremely vibrant; the fruit fairly jumps off the tray at you! This is a chance to own a very scarce (for this country) set of British porcelain that would look outstanding displayed on an antique wash stand or dresser.
