SALE Totally Adorable 'Happy Hang-Ups' Mechanical Monkey Face Coat Hanger

We are normally pretty blase' about kids' items, but this is too cool for school and we cannot find any info on the company nor another item like it. This is stamped 'PAT. PEND. (c) 1952 HAPPY HANG-UPS, INC. COL S.O.' on the metal on the back.

How it works is, you see the unhappy monkey face, with down-turned brows and mouth. Then you hang your coat or jacket on the hook and voila! Mr. Monkey-face turns that frown upside down! Is this the cutest or what??

The face is a composite wood fiber material and is painted. The monkey wears a red bellhop's cap. The hook mechanism works well, as shown in the photos. There is a bit of red paint missing on the cap. It also has a couple of dings to the back edges, nothing drastic but certainly worth mentioning.

It measures 8 1/4" (including hook) by 7" wide. The composite material is about an eighth of an inch thick.

The perfect gift for the kid who has everything, and leaves it laying in his/her floor; or for the vintage wall hook collector/ toy collector in your life.
