Huge Sale!! Wonderful Christmas gift ideas abound; we are always open to negotiation!
The bowl is 10 5/8" wide. It carries the Northwood mark on the back. There is wear to the gilding in the high spots on the leaves and in the center. We find a sliver chip on the round raised area on the bottom about 3/8 of an inch long, along with a couple of fleabites in the same area. We also note a cooling mark around one of the grape bunches, a 'wrinkle' in the glass, half-circle shaped, seen in the close-up of the ash (grape bunch on the left).
There are also some bits of ash embedded in the glass, pictured. The name means "Glass of Gold" and the technique was used on many of Northwood's patterns. Of course, we are partial to the Grape Frieze pattern!
This is a pattern and finish that does not come along often, so grab this one before it is gone!
