Presenting this stunning vintage compact set, with rhinestones -all-over! There is a 3 5/7" by 1 3/4" by 5/8" compact, which sports a mirror, paper money holder, powder well and a container for stamps or needles, we aren't sure which. The lipstick holder is 2 1/4" long and still has fire-engine red lipstick inside. The base of the lipstick doesn't turn. Both pieces in wonderful vintage condition. The mirror is in great condition. As we mentioned above, the lipstick does not turn, raise or lower. ...

We are pleased to offer this lovely vintage compact with a nicely-done engraved swirling design on the top and mesh cover on the bottom. Probably marked on the puff, which is not present, we are unsure of the manufacturer. The compact measures 2 7/8" across. the finish is in very good condition. The mirror shows the wavy age lines when held to the light at angle, but straight on shows no cloudiness. There is a sifter, in good condition.

Marked on the bottom "Melba Double Compacte Nickel Silver - Silver Plated", the compact measures 2 7/26" across and 3/4" thick. This is so intriguing; how different from the make-up of today! This is a lovely vintage 1940s face powder duo made by Mondaine of New York & Paris. The shiny black compact measures 3 inches by 2 1/8 inches. There are scratches and wear to the case.
