We are so pleased to offer this gorgeous early 20th century cheroot or cigar holder, made from amber and accented with 9 karat gold. It also has a velvet-lined casket to hold it. The British assay marks are: the letters W H in a semi-circle with flat bottom, a 9 in an oval, 375, the sideways anchor denoting Birmingham gold, and an 'x' in a box with cut corners. We are pleased to offer a whimsical cigarette holder of carved ivory depicting a line of three elephants, tail to trunk. It measures 4" long. Our client's parents brought this item back from overseas in the 1940s. The holder is in good vintage condition; there are no cracks, but the lead elephant is missing a tusk on one side. There are teeth marks on the stem. The carving is rough; this was a tourist souvenir. It is a nice piece to add to a collection.

Here we are offering a nice vintage ashtray made in Japan. It measures 3" tall and is 3" wide with a 2 1/2" base. It features a pair of men's striped pants and a pair of orange bloomers, marked 'Cigarettes' and 'Matches'. There is a textured striker on the side. There is a small amount of cold paint loss but the piece has no chips or cracks.

We are offering this pair of smoker ashtrays. They are in very good condition with no damage. Each has an indentation on the tongue to hold the cigarette, with a hole in the top of the head for the smoke to go out. We guess that they are made in Japan; they have gorgeous blue eyes and are mirror-image negatives of each other. Here we offer a lovely exotic bird perched on a branch with yellow berries. This small ash tray is hand painted and imported by Shafford. The tray measures 5 3/8 inches by 5 3/8 inches. There is a dip on one edge that is glazed over, so it was made at the time of production. We find no chips or cracks and don't see any crazing.
