L.F. Grammes & Sons worked in Allentown, Pa., from 1892 to the 1960s. The company's roots go back to 1875, when founder Lewis F. Grammes opened a machine shop in Allentown. This advertising letter opener has a brass handle and has written on one side " Write to L. F. Grammes & Sons, Allentown,Pa. U.S.A. For Everything You Need". On the flip side it has :Our Motto,High Graded GoodsandQuick Deliveries At Extreme Bottom Prices. It is approximately 9 1/8" long. It is in good condition but it shows some wear on the blade and handle. It is a great and useful advertising piece.
