Now here is something special! This gorgeous little pottery pitcher was made by Carstens Tonnieshof (pottery) of W. Germany, mid 20th century. It is made from light red clay and glazed in beautiful matte green and dark brown. The glaze on the top edge and sides of the handle is glossy. This measures 4" x 4" and is in perfect condition with one teeny glaze pop or pinhole on the side as shown in the picture. This is a common manufacturing occurrence and should not be considered to be a flaw. I suppose this might have been a creamer but, in my opinion, is a wonderful work of art. Embossed on bottom with the Carstens trademark (two house-like figures, TC, 445, W. Germany)
