Vintage Doll Bed for Barbie with Cute Doggie Quilt and Bedding

We have shown this bed with an 8" Ginny doll but it was probably intended for Barbie-sized dolls. It measures 13" long, 7" wide and 5" high at the headboard.

Made of 1/4" thick layered plywood with the visible surfaces veneered with a photo-finish mimicking the blonde furniture that was so popular in the mid 20th century. It is very sturdy although there is a skew that creates a slight wobble. The five slats support a homemade mattress covered in a brown and pink 70's style fabric. I did not disassemble this but it feels to be a padded piece of cardboard. Matching pillow.

I have added the bedding; fitted and flat white 100% cotton sheets and pillow case trimmed in eyelet lace and a reversible quilt measuring 11" square. This was cut directly from an old quilt and the original stitching and filler remain intact. Our favorite side (probably intended as the backing piece) features delightful blue and white scotty dogs on an orangey red background scattered with 'dog things'. The reverse side is more 'quilty' with blue plaid and aqua floral cotton.

All pieces are in nice condition and the bedding has been freshly laundered and pressed.
