This beautiful porcelain dresser box is such a nice size; the lobed ovoid measures 7" long, 5" wide and 4" to the top of the finial. Compare it to the bill in the last picture.

A lovely hand painted yellow rose resides on one side of the lid and the yellow and green foliage spill onto the straight side of the base. All outlined and detailed with gold and set on an unusually colored background of slate blue.

This is a high quality piece with nice weight and excellent condition with a touch of wear to the gilding on the tip of the lid finial. The green over-glaze stamp indicates Tashiro Shoten, Ltd, Yokohama, Japan and dates it to around 1930.
