SOLD Lovely Small Compote by Schumann. Dresden Flowers with Reticulated Edge

The upper bowl of this lovely compote, or comport, measures 6 1/2" in diameter and the overall height is 4". The two pieces are assembled with bolt and wing nut and protected by a circular cork pad.

The lovely Dresden floral transfer is surrounded by a scalloped and reticulated rim which has been further embellished with hand painted gilding.

In very nice condition with no chips or cracks. There is a slightly flattened spot on one scallop which occurred during the manufacturing process as it is glazed and gilded the same as the rest. I have circled this area in the last photo. A portion of the cork pad has broken away but the joint is tight and even. Some rust on the bolt and nut.
