Two Drawer Pine Doll Chest, 12" Wide

When we found this sturdy little chest it had been stained with a dark color which had not been absorbed by certain areas of the pine. The result was an ugly brown and yellow streaked mess. We have sanded it down and applied a light blue paint and added the blue bird decals. We also removed the wooden drawer pulls and replaced them with these small white porcelain knobs that we found in an old garage. They are vintage and stamped "Japan" on the flat.

This is rather large and measures 12" wide by 8 3/4" to the top surface, 14" tall overall by 5 1/2" deep. It is sturdily made of 1/2" thick solid wood with plywood drawer bottoms. In very nice condition with smooth sliding drawers. There is a split on the mirror frame as shown in the close-up picture and the mirror has some age-related spotting.

We had trouble photographing this for some reason. We have shown it in several settings and none show the light blue color exactly right. The flash washes it out and the natural sunlight shows it as darker than it is in reality. Baby blue is our best description of the color.

Use for doll display or as a cute catch-all for a child's special things.
