The hand painted descriptions on the bases of these figurines give us a brief glimpse into the life of the couple who originally owned them. 'Dottie' has named them after herself and her husband 'Bill' and gives details of receiving them as a wedding gift in 1945. She names the co-workers who gave them and says that the figures "look like us in 1945". Dottie and Bill must have been cute because this pair certainly is.
