Stone and Silver Victorian Revival Necklace

This necklace is really unusual, and is a bit of an enigma. It could be early 20th century Scottish...or maybe Victorian? It has characteristics of the Arts and Crafts era - and it also is reminiscent of the late 1960's hippie movement. But the best clue appears to be the clasp, which dates it to approximate mid 1930s. The stones are agate or carnelian, with nice rich color. The setting appears to be silver over brass or copper - it isn't marked as silver plate, but it appears to have a high silver content due to the patina. The neck chain to the center pendant measures about 20"; the large piece in the center measures about 2" across, and the drop adds about 3" to the total length of the necklace. It appears to be hand wrought. It is in good condition.
