SALE 1950s Wedding Gown

This pretty wedding dress was worn one time in the 1950s, and then professionally preserved. It was hand made for the bride, based on a design from the cover of a French bridal magazine.

It is made in antique ivory matte satin. It is full length with a train which bustles with a bow direction. The back buttons all the way up with satin covered buttons. Delicate silk embroidered applique of flowers and leaves with pearl beads decorate the bodice and shoulders. The gown has a chiffon overlay which finishes the top with cap sleeves. The headpiece is in the style of a Jackie O box cap, decorated with matching floral applique. The dress comes complete with crinolines.

Measurements: This dress is an approximate size 6. Waist - 25-26"; Bust - 36"; Shoulders - 14"; skirt - 41" from waist to floor in front.

Condition: very good. There are no tears, holes or other defects in the fabric. There are some very small spots on the lower portion of the skirt that you can find on inspection - they are very small and few in number. We attempted to get a picture, so please examine the photos carefully. The inside of the hem has some soiling, which cannot be seen on the outside of the skirt. There is some very slight discoloration around the underarms.

Although the netting on the veil is not ripped, it is very rumpled and has some yellowing; Grandma recommends that it be replaced for use.
