REDUCED Sheet Blue Drop Waist Dress - c. 1930

This pretty dress is a sheer, drop waist dress from the late 1920s or early 30s. It is in navy blue crepe fabric. The style features heavy pleating along the skirt, a flowing peplum, and short sleeves. The dress slips over the head, and has side hooks ant the waist and a back hook at the neck.

This dress is an approximate size 8, with a 29" waist and a 36- 38" bust. It is tea length.

This dress is in good condition, but does have some condition items that need note. The first two are easily fixed. On one side of the front, the stitching that holds the peplum in place has come loose. Also, the 'tails' of the peplum are unfinished. Grandma doesn't know if this was purposeful, but they could use hemming. There are no tears or fraying anywhere in the fabric.

There is also some splotchiness on the fabric. Grandma didn't even notice this until the dress was under the bright lights for photographing, probably because of the dark color of the fabric. It looks like it got splattered in spots. One of the pictures shows the spotting. Grandma does not know if washing or dying might eliminate the spotting. Please see pictures, as we tried to capture the spotting.
