Antique 1890's Folding Eye Glasses

This type of glasses were popular in the 1890's because the arms could be extended to wear and then be pushed back to slip in the pocket or purse. The frame is a dark brass color and the arms extend to 5" and close to 3 3/4". The glasses are 4" across the front. .They make a fun addition to vintage clothing and the lens could be replaced with your prescription by your optometrist or clear glass put in.
