This pottery shard has a simple design of blossoms in blue and magenta. The pottery shards are said to be from an archeological dig from a porcelain factory dating to the Ming Dynasty. This one because of its curved shape may have been from a cup or bowl. The shard itself measures 1 3/4 inch wide and 1 1/2 inches in length. Surrounded by silver plate the shard hangs from a sterling silver tube bail. The body of the piece features dyed blue agate, a deep magenta 'Quartz' (dyed glass) and tiny rondelle fresh water pearls. Tiny sterling silver spacers add some spark. The necklace measures 18 1/2 inches and closes with a sterling silver toggle clasp featuring tiny dotted flowers. Matching earrings combine the elements of the necklace and hang one inch below sterling silver leverback earwires.
