Welcome to my Ruby Lane store, a great place for vintage couture fashions and extraordinary costume jewelry by the best designers such as Chanel, Dior, Balenciaga, Bill Blass, Schreiner, Vicki Tiel, Thierry Mugler, Alaia, Galliano, Trifari, French jewelry, Lanvin,
Geoffrey Beane, Hagler, Jacques Fath, Adrian, Boucher, Korda, Kramer, Saint Laurent, and many more.

My name is Mary Ellen and I first became involved in vintage jewelry in 1996 in Paris when I visited with a friend. We went to the Follies Bergere auction and then to flea markets. I fell in love with the jewelry and the couture fashions. I had always loved, fashion design and art but jewelry was just diamonds to me. When I saw how Dior constructed his costume pieces and the beauty of Roger John Pierre and Chanel I went wild. I would rather have these pieces than real jewelry, and I've found that they last longer and are much more substantial than the newer couture jewelry. I have never lost a stone from a Dior or have I had one fall apart. Dior is my major collection and many are not for sale. I also collect any other well known names and great unsigned pieces.

As for couture fashion, like my mother, I've always loved it but felt I could do better with vintage couture in terms of price. While this is not always true, I have done well. I've gone back to Paris to buy and to renew my love of flea market shopping. I show dressage horses, do management consulting and live in the wine country of California with my husband and 4 dogs
as well as many outdoor pets such as foxes, snakes, rabbits etc. I am extremely careful about the jewelry I choose for me and jewelry i choose to sell as well as clothing. i never sell vintage clothing intentionally with any holes, substantial marks, tears or smells. I am careful not to buy this type of item. Once you purchase from me you will find I am honest, willing to admit if I have made an error and will always put the customer first.
