The specialty Bottles were originated in 1952, making a change from their conventional whiskey bottles. In answer to the growing demand for these unusual bottles, during the succeeding years, Beam issued both china and glass decanters, each unique in design. Some honored States of the Union, Centennials, sports events such as golf, horse racing, football and tennis, each design receiving the accolade of the public.
We have here a handsome Jim Beam Collector's Decanter produced in 1968 honoring the centennial celebration of the prestigious Elks Club. Produced in Beam's trademark Genuine Regal China, this decanter depicts the time-honored symbols of the Elks Club on both the front and back, along with their credo.
The condition of this beauty is excellent. The Tax stamp is missing however and the bottom has wear on the faux felt that protects the base of the decanter.
It measures 10-5/8" tall, 6" wide, is in mint condition. It weighs in at 1.8 pounds.
