Made by the Gorham Co Monogrammed with the Letter W Made of Sterling Silver Weight: 5.93 ozt Height: 1 ¾ inches Width: 2 ¾ inches
This is a beautiful set of Gorham sterling silver hollowware that features 2 open sugar bowls. The set is quite elegant and a joy to behold and use. They are monogrammed with the letter W. They weigh 5.93 troy ounces and have some small polish marks; common for estate silver. As shown in the pictures one of the bowls has a small dimple on the side, but this is barely noticeable to the eye. Truly a beautiful set!
Gorham Manufacturing Co. was founded c. 1815 in Providence, Rhode Island, and has grown to one of the biggest silverware companies in the world. Gorham played an important role in the history of American decorative arts especially in the last part of the nineteenth century and early twentieth century.
This set should make a fine addition to any collection of fine sterling hollowware and is stunning for use or display.
