Desirable Collectibles gathered for you from throughout Old New England
Goodoletom, your best source for quality collectables is pleased to offer this lot of Depression Era crystal glass sherbet cups in metal holders. They were manufactured by the Macbeth-Evans Glass Company in Charleroi, Pennsylvania from 1930-1936. There are six sherbet bowls in this collection. The pattern is called American-Sweetheart, but the company originally called it Pattern R. While this was one of Macbeth Evans’ more popular patterns, it is one of the few that has the sherbet cup with the metal base.
The sherbet glass only comes in clear crystal. No other colors are available for this particular piece.
• Each Sherbet cup weighs 127.7 grams
• Measures 3 ˝ inches tall with the metal base
• Measures 4 inches wide
There’s a tiny chip at the base of four out of the six glass fittings into the metal base. When the sherbet bowl is fitted in the metal base the chips won’t be visible. Other than that very minor flaw, the sherbet glasses are in excellent condition.
