This beautiful 7.2" plate was produced for Christmas 1980 by Bing & Grondahl of Denmark. Collected by thousands of Christmas enthusiasts worldwide, Bing & Grondahl is one of the finest names in Christmas collectables. This figure is "Street Singer", but is missing the label from its base. It shows a young boy in a top hat and tailed suit and bowtie, caroling with sheet musing in hand. The base has the two-line mark of the Goebel company of West Germany with the little bee, printed over the glaze. It is hand-painted and has the painter's signature.. Other marks include the mold number, #131, and a little teardrop mark above the trademark. The height is 5 inches, the base is 2 inches, and it weighs 3.6 ounces. ...
