This lovely Burmel hanky still has it's original tag in place. Measuring 13 inches by 13 inches this hanky has blue and green embroidered flowers scattered across the surface and has the name "Harriet" written in one corner. The fabric is a very sheer, white cotton, and the condition is excellent.

This vintage tapestry is in excellent condition and has a wonderful figural scene depicting two court gentlemen, a lady, french statues, and graceful trees. The colors are very soft and appealing--shades of tan, brown, mauve, and a muted orange. Tapestry measures 19.5 inches by 14 inches and is stamped "Made in Belgium" on the back. I am always searching for nice tapestries with decorative scenes and this is one of the better ones that I have found recently! No holes or stains.

This vintage vanity mirror is very pretty! Goldtone leaves and gleaming aurora borealis stones decorate the top edge. There is glass on both sides. The back is a magnifying glass The jeweled decoration is just on the front. Signed "Matson" on the inside edge of the frame. Mirror stands 9.5 inches high and measures 7 inches wide. The glass is in good shape. The base, however, shows a bit of age with some pitting and loss of finish. Still, a lovely accessory to your dressing table!

This vintage jewelry or trinket box dates back to the turn-of-the century and has a beautiful scene on the top, depicting Bastia, Place St. Nicolas. Box measures 2.5 inches in diameter and is fashioned from goldtone metal with a red felt-like interior. Nice condition! Most of these boxes that I have come across were made in France and were purchased by visitors as souvenirs. A wonderful addition to your dressing table!

I must admit, this is the first vintage shaving kit that I have ever purchased. But I love equestrian things and fell in love with the blue horse on the front of this kit! This shaving kit measures 6 inches by 4 inches and stands 2 inches high. The blue plastic top is edged in metal and the horse design may be a decal. Why stare at an ugly tissue box when you can store your tissues in a beautiful, vintage vanity box like this one? And the details on this one are quite gorgeous--ornate rose design on the front, while ornate leaves adorn the top. I have seen many of these boxes and frequently the goldtone color is in bad shape, plagued by verdigris or brown spots. This one is in very good condition. Box measures 10 inches by 5 inches. The bottom is covered with a wine-colored felt. This does show a bit of wear.

This pink floral hanky is a Spring beauty! A big bouquet of pink and white flowers occupies one corner, while a garden-like arrangement of flowers graces the opposite corner. My three teenage boys laughed when I brought this home, but I think she is really cute, in a funky sort of way! This vintage Corde purse measures 9.5 inches by 6 inches and is in very good condition. The strap is lined in a grosgrain ribbon and has a round plastic (bakelite?) link on one side. This charming rhinestone-decorated brass bank measures 4 inches across, 3 inches wide, and stands 3.5 inches high. It has cute little bun feet and a scrolling leaf design, accented with rhinestones. This faux snakeskin belt is studded with rhinestones--clear, black, and bronze colored--and square bronze stones. It measures 33 inches in length and would be best for a smallish waist. This good-looking vintage belt is the perfect accessory for spring.. The stones are all in good shape. There is a small amount of wear to the buckle part of this belt. No maker mark, but nicely made.
