As with all Lladro porcelain, this one is even more beautiful that the next one. The Embroiderer is a large piece done in fine detail with the pastels of Lladro figurines. She sits in her fine chair doing her embroidery which was expected as "ladies" work, learning the fine art of fancy stitching. She is listed in the Lladro Official Reference & Identification Guide on page 189.

She was sculpted by Salvador Furio and issued in 1974. The design was retired in 1994. She is 11 1/2" tall, 9" long and 4 1/2" wide. If you only had one Lladro, this would be fine one to have. If you have a collection, this would be a wonderful addition. She is in mint condition with a glossy finish and full tulip markings on the bottom. I do not have the original box, but then you want to admire the figurine and not the box! She will be packed with great care for a safe trip to her new home.

In 1956 the three Lladro Brothers started producing the Lladro figurines for which they are now most famous near Valencia, Spain. All Lladro porcelain is sculpted, painted, glazed and fired entirely by hand. They produce some of the finest and most valuable porcelain of the 20th century. The secrets of their porcelain are carefully guarded!
