Daily Bread or more commonly known as Prayer Ladies, this sweet set of ladies with their hands folded in prayer are a salt and pepper set, wearing pink dresses and white aprons. On their aprons are the prayers "Give us this day our daily bread" and "We give you thanks for all your gifts".

They are in good condition, still wearing their foil tags on the bottom that say Japan by Adriane. The salt shaker has a manufacturing flaw with a pin head size bubble on her hand that left an open spot. It looks like the thin china over it is inside the popped bubble. (It makes it easier to tell which one has the salt in it.) The pepper shaker also has on the back of her skirt a small dot that is missing the pink color and glaze. Not bad for having worn the same dress for 55+ years!

The salt was still in it when I purchased them at an estate sale and I keep forgetting it's there when I turn it over to read the bottom! They have their original rubber stoppers and I didn't want to pull them out. The little ladies are 4 1/2" tall and 2 3/4" across their skirts. I've seen a lot of salt and pepper collections, but I don't think they come any prettier than this!
