Fine Silver (.999) earrings handcrafted from Precious Metal Clay (PMC) and embellished with 22kt gold paste.

Precious Metal Clay (PMC) is made of microscopic particles of pure silver, water and an organic binder. Because of its clay consistency in its fresh stage you can manipulate and modeling as you want and creates beautiful pieces of jewelry. When PMC is fired in an electric kiln, the water evaporates and the binder burns away. The material shrinks and the silver particle fuses into solid pure metal.

Several coats of 22kt gold paste were applied in parts of the design to add a rich gold color to the piece.

I have given the piece a patina using Liver of sulfur to acquire the antique look and to enhance the details of the texture.

The design was obtain from an antique button.

Fine Silver Handmade ear wires are used.

Both earrings weight 8.6 grams.

They are 20mm (3/4”) in diameter.
