Irene Wordhouse is an accomplished artist who has won many awards and uses pastels to recreate places she has been to and people she has met or seen, in our Great Lakes State of Michigan.

In her own words the artist gives you a brief description of this fabulous piece:

Last Fall I was struck by the brilliant red foliage of a tree at the end of our street. I took some photographs and painted it in my studio, pleased with the colors and shapes as well as with the symbolism of this lovely tree. It stood as a flaming salute to Autumn and to its Creator Who knows a lot about trees.

This painting is simply framed in a black wood frame with a white mat under Plexi-Glass.
