Sweet Cherubs in 2-D are on the front and both sides of the Pocket watch holder depicted in 3 different scenes. This with just a slight difference can be seen on page 414 in the book Antique Boxes Inside and Out by Genevieve Cummins. A delightful book worthy of the price showing some of the finest boxes on and off the market.

Along the sides and top of the Cherubs are 2-D flora. Beautiful Vernis Martin' panels which are held in place with tiny nails that are all present.

The interior, top, back, and front feet are covered in Blue Velvet. The interior of the door is covered in Blue Damask Silk.

The 3 windows are beveled glass. There is a hook in the back area of the interior and a recessed area at the bottom.

The handle is Guilloche Enamel done in a flora design.

The underside of the bottom is marked Procede Brevete, S G D G, Modele Depose.

There is the less then normal signs of wear on the velvet and paint. This does not detract from this beauty because it does not effect the overall look instead adds charm to this wonderful piece.

The latch opens and closes with ease and keeps the door closed. The watch hook is stable and does not have any verdigris.

This stunning Sedan shaped Watch & Jewelry show case is 6 1/2" high by 4" deep by 3 1/2" wide. Mid 1800's.
