The shell, Money Cowrie, was formally used for currency in many countries.

This is a lovely set that combines the colors of the Money Cowrie: beige, white and tan with the brown seed beads.

The necklace has two shells facing each other alternating with the seed beads.

The screw back earrings are comprised of the seed beads wound into a tight circle causing a soft spike effect on the edges. The earrings could easily be converted to pierced.

Lovely set in great to excellent condition. The necklace is 26" long and is a slip over the head style. The earrings are 1" across.
