Rare Accountant's Brass Traveling Double Ink Well With Black & Red Glass Wells & Nib Cleaner

Very cool item with smooth brass exterior and ornate designed interior. The traveling ink well has black & red glass ink wells for accounting purposes. They are covered by brass lids that are controlled by brass levels. There is a built in brush for cleaning the nib of a dip pen. Very unique and rare Victorian item for your enjoyment. It measures 2 15/16" by 1 1/2" by 1 3/8" high. The lid is a bit askew but the snap closure front and hinge works well keeping the box closed. There are crafter marks on the edges and some on the front. It could use a better cleaning we only cleaned it enough to give it some shine and to check for metal content. The bottom is similiar to slate and keeps the darling ink well box from sliding around. Over all for it's age and rarity this piece is in very good condition with the insides being extremely well preserved and the glass still intact.
