The lid is a push on, pull off type. There is a monogram in the Cartouche area in fancy English script. It measures 2 3/8" in length and is in very good condition. They are marked Sterling with a number 47. They carry the makers mark of Watson Company 1880 - 1955 Attleboro, Massachusetts, ca. 1920.

Classic frame with open link chain on this lovely purse. The frame, clasp, and chain handle are in super condition. As is found on many of these purses there are some links missing from below the frame where the hinge opens & closes. It measures 9 1/2" & the frame is 4 1/4" across. The purse carries the 925 with a triangle inside an oval for Birmingham Purity Silver mark that was stamped on Imported Wares ca 1904- 1998. EGB maker's mark, and the date mark m for the year 1911.
