Further Reduced! Stunning case with gilding over silver filigree. It measures 3 1/4" by 2 3/4". Flowers in two corners and a striped design with the same colors in the center. The edges are engraved in an ornate foliage design. Nice snap when closed with the latch and hinges working perfectly. In excellent condition with minor loss to the gilding. The frame is metal and the filigree is Sterling. There are two hallmarks on the latch that were impossible to get a clear picture of.

The Tortoise Shell on this is in excellent condition. This is one of the finer looking Tortoiseshell purses we have owned. It is very clean. The front has a sweet Silver Pique bow with streaming ties. The outer mount is gilded silver. Some of the gilt has been rubbed off but it retains the majority of it. The purse measures 3" wide by 2", ca. 1850. The hinge and clasp work perfectly, the inside area is very clean, and the Tortoise shell is perfect with very light surface wear.
