Vintage Remington Portable Typewriter 1921

This is a vintage typewriter marked Remington Portable in very nice condition. It measures about 9½" by 11" and is metal with metal-rimmed glass keys. The keys & arms are all present. The case has some wear, but is also included. The serial number is NZ11754 dating it to November 1921. This early portable typewriter has an unusual feature. The keys are raised for typing from the case by a lever at the side. For storage the key assembly folds back into the case.
