Acrylic paint on paper 22'' x 31'', Barbara Yukoi (1946- ). ''Gallery III''. Signed at lower right and titled at lower left. The piece is acrylic paint on 100% cotton rag paper, professionally double matted and placed in a black wood frame with a Plexiglas front.

Barbara has been creating art for over twenty-five years and exhibiting in the Los Angeles area since the early 1990s. Her paintings, collages, and constructions are influenced by her upbringing in Hawaii, her Asian ancestry, and her life in California. Barbara has a BA in art history from UCLA and has studied studio arts at Otis College of Art + Design. Barbara signed many of her works as “Yukoi” a pronounceable version of her middle name, Yuke-oe. This piece was painted in the 1990s as the artist was imagining the ideal space for her art.
