Antique Lawn Bowling Balls with Ivory Monograms 18-1900’s

Here are 5 very nice antique 5” diameter Lawn Bowling or Bocce balls and one smaller pallino ball from the late 1800's to the early 1900’s.

Four of the balls are labeled as “R.G. Lawrie Glasgow” and one is a “Taylor-Rolph Ltd.” from London. The 4 Lawrie balls have ivory discs on one side with the initials “E.J.W.” and the numbers 1,2,and 4 on the other, (There are two number 2’s and one just has the initials “C.J.” on the opposite side.) The Taylor-Rolph ball is also labeled with an ivory “E.J.” disk but no number is on the opposite side. I am told that the wood is is Lignum Vitae. Also included is the antique pallino ball. This ball is about 2 ¾” in diameter, quite heavy, and appears to be made of white porcelain.

The balls make a very nice antique Bocce display.
