This buckle was sold to Frenchy as Bakelite but I don't believe it is. It seems to be a marbleized celluloid of green and gold with rhinestones embellishing it. It is believed to be from the Art Deco period. There is normal wear to the back for a piece of this age. It measures 2 1/4 inches wide and 1 inch tall. There is no mark on the buckle. Carmen Miranda would love this little enameled Vendome brooch. Its beautiful enamel is intact and the banana is outlined with pumpkin color rhinestones. It has a locking clasp that is intact. The brooch measures 1 3/4 inches by 1 1/4 inches. It is signed Vendome with the copyright symbol. There is minimal loss of finish on the back which can be seen in the photo of the back.
