This is a very lovely well defined antique pressed glass set. The pattern is really sharp and crisp. And not too easily to be found.
The cane work accents separate the oval medallion that is outlined in tiny diamond like points or cuts. Within each oval is a splendid floral design.
Condition is excellent, no chips or cracks or any signs of wear except for 2 infinitesimal (tiny) extremely light scratches that I show with the arrows. They are very very hard to see.
This is fabulous condition for glass this age. And there are some great bubbles within the glass. Some are so minute, that you have to look under magnification to determine that they are indeed bubbles.
Other names associated with this pattern are Floral Oval, Pittsburgh Daisy and Cane and Sprig.
The small compote may actually be a sherbet, but I am not sure. They had so many names for glass items back then that sometimes I get dizzy trying to figure them out.
Measurements are; compote 4.75” H with a 5.25” top diameter and a 3” base diameter.
Bowl is 4.5” square and 1.75” in height.
