Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. If you are a cat lover or cat fancier, you can't help but fall in love with these fabulous statues.

Price is for one. I have 2 available.

Great coloring and very highly glazed. Be sure to zoom in on the faces. The eyes are especially well done and mesmerizing.

Each feline statue measures 12 ½” H x 10 ½” L x 8 ¼” W.

They both are in absolute mint condition having no chips, cracks or wear, other than some shelf wear to the bottoms. Bottoms are marked and have labels as well as mold marks impressed.

I believe these to be statues of Russian Siberian Cats. Siberian cats come with several stories- one being that they were wild cats from the forests and found in the monasteries in Siberia sometime around the middle ages. Another story is that they were named Siberian cats because their dense fur enabled them to withstand the severe Siberian climate.

The last photo shows a Siberian cat and a close up shot of the eyes. Gorgeous green and oval.

On their bottoms, you can see remnants of the Wien Keramos Made in Austria mark. It is very faded but there.

As to dating these statues my research shows a bit of conflict concerning the exact dates. The Keramos factory was established in 1920. I found these marks as dating from 1920 to 1939 and also from 1945. In any case they are over 60 years old.

As you can see, they make an absolutely stunning display together. Price is for one statue.
