Urn shaped Coffee pot features a never ending stylized band of enameled delicate white flowers with vines and foliage scrolled around in a lovely pattern within the wide platinum trim near the top. This trim is followed with another platinum band and luscious sprays of ferns.
Sprays of ferns decorate the entire circumference of the saucer. The photos of the saucer alone came out a bit blurry. I apologize for that. They are in fact finely detailed as most of the other pictures show.
Platinum finial tops the lid which also repeats the fern pattern in a reverse smaller version.
The spout has so much platinum to it that it comprises a good two thirds of the spout itself. Handle also has a very generous amount of platinum.
Platinum has a true mirror finish. Reflective images can be very clearly seen.
The body is pure white fine porcelain. The pot is footed and also features a two section handle.
Lidded Sugar & creamer as well as the cups and saucers all feature this magnificent design.
Perfect for those formal occasions when you wish to add a touch of sophistication and class. Elegantly designed.
Condition is superb. Absolutely no signs of wear, scratches or repairs. This is one gorgeous set. The porcelain is of very high quality. When struck with a finger the cup resonates like a bell.
Set consists of demitasse pot ,sugar, creamer and 12 each delicately footed cups and saucers adorned with fern trim in platinum
Not limited to just coffee – can also be used as a tea service, as the pot makes a splendid teapot as well.
Heights of this set are as follows:\ Pot - 8” Sugar - 3 ¾” creamer – 3 ¼” cup – 2 ¼” Saucer diameter is 4 ¾”
Bottoms are marked with a crown in green. This may be attributed to either Heinrich Winterling Porcelain, Waldsassen Porcelain or Oscar Schaller & Co, which is also part of the Winterling group. These makers all feature the same crown mark.
If you view the last picture you can see the only manufacturing flaws that I was able to find – a cup with a little bit of raised matter, an extra dot of paint on the rim of the sugar and one cup where it appears there is some glaze missing.
I mention this for accuracies sake only. This is how it came from the factory.
This set is in such great condition that I doubt it was ever used.
Shipping rates (subject to change) within the Continental US range from about $28.00 to $41 via USPS Priority Mail. This includes insurance, tracking and handling charges.
This set has been extremely well wrapped and packaged inside several custom made cardboard boxes which have then been placed into one larger box with Styrofoam fill. I take great care and pride in my packing.
