German Majolica Large Plate or Charger with Grapes and Strawberries

This Large Majolica Plate features a relief molded design, with purple grapes and red strawberries hand painted in the center, the branches are accented with brown, this is surrounded with grape vines. The plate is in a lovely soft shade of green, with a well defined inner border of leaves and berries, and a piecrust border around the rim. This lovely plate or charger is 11 1/4" in diameter and in excellent, original condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing. It is fully marked on the back, Black Forest Art Pottery, Erphila, Germany, as you will see in the photographs. This is a delightful piece of Majolica, which would be a welcome addition to any collection, and a very cheerful accent in any decor. This and several other pieces were from an Estate Sale that we found on our recent buying trip up north, and have obviously been well loved and cared for.
