This Framed Tile makes quite a dramatic statement, with a very graphic depiction of a Dove on a tree branch. The artist has used a tube lining technique, sometimes called slip trailing, to accentuate and add dimension to his subject. The color has been hand applied with paint and enamels, a really lovely piece with great detail. The ceramic tile is 8" square, 9 3/4" square with the frame, and the condition is excellent, probably from the 60s or 70s.
