Victorian Cranberry Glass Covered Butter Dish

This Victorian Flashed Cranberry Glass Covered Butter Dish is very pretty. The bowl has an applied collar of hand pulled circles, each with an impressed design of a Daisy. The cover has a clear finial. This is a lovely piece from the 1880s to 1900, and the glass has tiny bubbles, often found on Victorian glass, and a rough pontil mark on the bottom, in the center of an impressed flower. It measures 4 1/4" tall and 5 1/4" across at the widest point. It is in good condition for a piece over 100 years old, but does have quite a few nibbles around the rim of the dish and one under the rim of the lid, when the lid is on none of these show and it looks to be perfect, and the damage is reflected in the price. This was part of a collection we purchased on our recent buying trip. I am not sure if this is English or American but it is a real treasure, that would be beautiful on your table or displayed in your cabinet, a great addition to any collection.
