This beautiful Majolica plate features a relief molded stalk of purple Grapes and nicely shaded leaves in high relief. The background is nicely detailed basketweave in a dusty Aqua. This lovely plate is 9 1/8" in diameter and in excellent, original condition, with no chips, cracks or crazing, any white flashes are light reflections, not damage. It is fully marked on the back with the Zell in a teacup mark used by Georg Schmider, Baden, Germany 1907-1928. This is a delightful piece of Majolica which would be a welcome addition to any collection, I have also listed the mate to it. This and several other pieces, were from an Estate Sale that we found on our recent buying trip up north, and have obviously been well loved and cared for.
